After AI, Zoom, and COVID: The Room Still Wins

Here’s a signal worth noticing: Anthropic – the company literally building the AI reshaping our industry – just posted four event marketing roles. Not despite the AI revolution. As part of it. Because some rooms can’t be automated, and the smartest people in marketing know it.

If there is one thing Israelis know by now, it is this: there is probably nothing less predictable than planning an event right now.

Flights get canceled. Sirens happen. People hesitate to commit. The world changes every five minutes.

And still – we keep building events.

Because despite AI, despite Zoom, despite endless digital content, despite everything we learned during COVID – nothing replaces what happens when people are in the same room.

No webinar creates the same trust. No LinkedIn thread creates the same chemistry. No sequence of thirty virtual meetings creates what one dinner does.

Events are where brands stop feeling abstract. Where communities become real. Where strangers become partners. Where ideas become decisions.

And maybe that is why event marketing still matters so much. Not because people need more content. But because people still need connection.
